Housefilk it is!  My place.  December 25th.

Starting early afternoon (say, noonish?) and running 'til 8 or 9 at
the latest, since I have to work the next day)

The house is pet-free, smoke-free and relatively child-friendly
(although the two in-residence children won't be there), kosher
but not shomer shabbos.

easy enough to get here by car or train.

Train: LIRR to Bethpage, then either taxi or let me know when you're coming
in so I can get you.

Car:  Belt/southern state 
      grand central/norther parkway
      LIE

      to 135/the seaford oyster bay expressway (go north if you're on
      the belt/southern state, south otherwise)

      to hempstead turnpike/route 24 east.  Make the left at the 2nd
      light onto Miller.  Follow Miller all the way around; the 
      houses on the right side will stop. When they start up again,
      stop and look left to #17
