[interactionfilk-discuss] Glasgow Worldcon (Interaction) Filk Hotel announcement

I just realised this never got copied here. It's from Bill.

With hotel reservations opening this weekend for the 2005 Worldcon in
Glasgow (Interaction), we wanted to make sure everyone knew what hotel
all-night filking would be in. Unfortunately, we were not able to get
the information in time for PR2, so pass this info to anyone that you
know will be likely to attend.

All-night filking will take place in three function rooms of the Glasgow
Moat House Hotel, which is the main convention hotel and is connected by
covered walkways to the SECC and all daytime programming.

The good news is the location, in that the nighttime fan program and
real ale bar are also located in the Moat House, plus convenience to the
main programming for those hauling instruments.

The (sort of) bad news is that, like most UK hotels, space is limited,
so you will likely want to get your reservation as soon as possible.

For those who are unable to get a reservation at the Moat House for
whatever reason, we are looking into the possibility of a having a suite
at the Moat House set aside for instrument storage. We would try to make
sure the room is staffed for instrument check-in and check-out for as
many hours as possible (particularly during and after open filking
times), but this will completely depend on the number of volunteers we
can get.

For right now, if you are planning to attend the Worldcon in Glasgow and
would like to be in the late-night filk hotel, use
http://www.infotel.co.uk/worldcon/ to make your reservations as soon as
you can after September 3.

More filk information should be contained in future PRs, including
volunteer opportunities as well as concert and programming plans.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact bill at bsutton

Cheers,

Bill
