Umm, maybe I'm getting confused with all the Germans who've been at the UK
filkcons. I thought there were more there, but you're right, that's the
only ones I can actually remember.

I don't know if maybe more would be interested this time? There's certainly
a lot more German filkers around these days. And I'd love to have more of
them along there. So they can meet other filkers they wouldn't normally see
and so the USans and Canadians can meet some of the amazing talent there is
in German filkdom, that's not normally seen at all outside Germany except
for some of them at the UK con.

There is supposed to be better transport this time, but it still won't be
all that easy.

That's supposed to be being better sorted this time with the past
experience, but I don't know how well. And of course our exchange rate
doesn't help for you or the US.

Would it be possible to get to London and then travel up from there with UK
fans? But then I suppose most of us will be using train or plane rather
than car.

I think most of the work will be done before the con? I'm not sure how it
works.

One thing - the hotel booking forms will be going out probably at the
beginning of September, and of course it's important for filkers to be in
or near the hotel where the late night filk is. So it's best to book early.
Which means booking *before* FilkCONtinental this year if possible. Could
you make sure that the German filkers know about that, just in case?
