That would be great - there's a couple of possibilities for UK end, that
I'll try to sort in the next few days.

I think it's best if I still post in WiGGLe tomorrow, but revise it down a
bit from the doom and gloom version!

I don't have any problem with that - I think that's pretty much the way we
ran it in 95. It certainly wasn't 100% filk programming. I particularly
remember going to one non-filk science item, and being rather surprised
that the speaker was awake - since I'd helped you pour him into a taxi not
many hours before :-)

My main hope is just for enough programming to have an opportunity to see
the different communities, and to encourage enough people to be there for
those massive late night gatherings of filkers from all over the world. The
more we can tell people will be there, the more we can maybe pull in to add
to that.

I'd particularly like to get more of the Germans over. Maybe the ones who
don't even make UK filk cons. Hey, maybe we could get Summer and Fall over?
Or GeBORGt?

Of course it would be *really* nice to get Divine Strumpet, but I don't
think that's very likely unless maybe for one day.

Hmm - my impression in 95 was that I met lots and lots of US filkers that
I've never met elsewhere. But certainly if you're there *only* for the filk
then the UK or the German dedicated filk cons would be better.
