I personally like very much the idea of all the late night activities (parties and after-hours filk) being in the same place, as I tend to wander from filk to parties to filk and so on. It would also be easy to post the filk on the party board each night and perhaps attract some new people or even people who have filked in the past but prioritise the parties. A lot will depend on how late the filk programme is scheduled to go - if "filk programme" ends before parties begin (i.e. last concert or whatever ending by about 21.00 or so) then it would probably be OK to have the filk in the party hotel. However, if concerts and filk programme are expected to go until 22.30 or later, then the after-hours filk would be best in the Moat House so people don't have to go as far. In other words, the important thing is whether a gap exists between filk programme and late-night filk. If none exists, then it all needs to be in the same place or very close (concerts in GECC and filk in Moat House, maybe). If a good gap exists, then the party hotel would be best in my mind.
