That was at Contabile-Fortean, when we sang "Evil Overlords Anonymous". ISTR that the origin of the "Best Dressed Filk" was a suggestion by Gytha to encourage people to perform their songs in the appropriate costume. If people are to be encouraged to bring costumes with them to Glasgow, they have to be sure of an opportunity to perform their filk in costume. Re Eurovision Filk Contest, my memory of this from last time (1995), apart from the fact that I wore something very pink and frilly to compere it, was that it was great fun and attracted a widely European audience and participators - no bad thing as it taps into a very European tradition. But very few North American filkers came along. Perhaps something could be put in a PR...? cheers Valerie ============================================ Original Message > Has any been seen since, especially from anyone else? In an Oxford context, a recent college is any of the ones that didn't already exist when the university got its charter. New College, of course, is not recent. Andrew
