I'm intending to wait until next week to start much discussion here, to 
give people time to join so they can see the messages. There is apparently 
an archive for this list but I don't know how to access it - anyone?

There was some discussion at the SWiGGLe meeting last week but it looks 
like it will be next week before I can get the transcript of the notes that 
were taken.

The situation at the moment is:

We've put in a request for rooms (basically one large during the day, 
several smaller in late evening) but I don't yet know if anything has been 
allocated. Hotel room bookings are expected to start being taken on 
September 2nd 2004, so we must know by then which hotel the evening filk is 
in.

We're beginning to collect ideas for the programme. We particularly want to 
include all the various countries - and of course the UK filkers will 
probably be outnumbered by US filkers anyway.

We don't yet have anyone to do the actual organising and the liaison with 
the main con. I can't do this kind of thing, and Lissa is definitely not 
going to do it! We'd like people from more than just the UK. However the 
usual conrunners from Germany will be busy organising FilkCONtinental two 
months later.
