...this one popped into my head at 2:30AM on the way home from FKO, while
trying to stay awake in the car (fortunately, I wasn't driving, so I could
pull out a flashlight, pen, and paper ans write it down). For some
reason, it doesn't rhyme. It seems to not want to. It also really wants
to be a rock song.
For reference, this is about the Powerpuff Girls. In performance I'd
probobly reveal that *afterwards* for the people wo didn't figure it out
during the song.
What Are Little Girls Made Of?
words and music copyright 2001 by Rachel S. Silverman
[imagine an intro based on the schoolyard "Na na na, na naah, na")
Sugar and spice and everything nice
That's what little girls are made of
Sugar and spice and everything nice
That's what little girls are made of
I've got a recipe for the perfect little girls
They'll be strong and brave and kind to everyone
Sugar and spice and everything nice
That's what little girls are made of
Sugar and spice and everything nice
That's what little girls are made of
They'll be sweet and always put away their toys
They'll never lie or make fun of the other kids
Sugar and spice and everything nice
That's what little girls are made of
Sugar and spice and everything nice
That's what little girls are made of
I'm just a lonely guy who's buried in his lab
Never met a girl who'll take me as I am
So why can't I also be a dad?
I've got the ingredients and I've got a formula!
Sugar and spice and everything nice
That's what little girls are made -- (Spoken) Oops. Well. They *are*
beautiful.
Sugar and spice and everything nice
And some chemical X to make them just the best...
My little girls are brave and strong and kind
They fight to save our Townsville all the time
Sugar and spice and everything nice
And some chemical X to make them just the best
Sugar and spice and everything nice
And some chemical X to make them just the best
To make them just the best!
