Gwen just a quick response as I am scanning through all the posts regarding
your song, but not reading then thoroughly.  Would "dear friend" work as
well as "close friend"?  I was a little unsure about the "close-range" and
"close friend" so near to each other, but hadn't gotten around to figuring
out away around it yet.  Also, would "nearby" work instead of "close-range"?
Finally, looking at "Phantoms rise up from white ghosts of snow".... maybe
making that "white swirls of snow" would give more of the picture you were
describing in your earlier response?
