[critique] Re: New Song: Yonder comes a Filker

Cool.
No, I was saying that I love many kinds of songs, and from my old (and
now replaced with Christian viewpoint) agnostic viewpoint, cold iron is
ironic, I do not find it funny.
Yes critique the songs not the critic. If someone does not 'get' the
song, what can one do to reach that person? Or can you ignore that part
of the audience that feels similar?
Maybe not every song needs to be great? But then what is a critique list
for?

Cold Iron as funny? Boggle. I'm not quite sure what
you mean by saying it's ironic. It has a
wonderful Christian subtext, which I'm sure you noticed, but a
subtext doesn't equate with irony.

I should probably credit you here with suggesting the idea of
"Hamlet by Disney" and coming up with
most of the ideas I used in the verses, and that's a really
funny song.

But I think we should keep this mailing list for critiquing
songs rather than
for critiquing one another. We're all different and will
undoubtedly each be clueless about
something that's obvious to some of the other people.
