When the music is over, there will be an open jam/filk. Please feel
free to bring your instruments, voices and other noisemakers and join
in!

For those of you not familiar with one or more of these artists there
is some information and weblinks below. Each is a stellar artist with
their own performing style.

Kat Eggleston - (from her web page at http://www.kateggleston.com)

"Not only is Kat Eggleston one of the best and most versatile
singer-songwriters I've ever heard - there are a whole lot of more
celebrated people out there who can't carry her fingerpicks - but
every
time I hear her she gets distinctly better. If this keeps up she's in
serious danger of becoming a national treasure." - Peter S. Beagle

Eric Coleman - (from his webpage at
http://members.aol.com/ericcoleman/)

In the last couple of years Eric has suffered from what he refers to
as "Songwriter MPD". He is either putting to tape "hopelessly sad
songs filled with self pity and middle aged angst" or he is "making
cruel fun of people who, frankly, make a lot more money than I do".
At least that is his glib take on it.

In reality Eric is writing either character studies of nervous,
lonely and frustrated folks that are very much like people you know
(and who frequently are people he knows, expect lawsuits if he ever
gets
famous), or he is writing oddball social satire with a vicious sense
of humor.

His live sets are punctuated with stories about the songs and the
people in them as well as abuse for anyone foolish enough to ask Eric
to play a
cover song.

Steve Macdonald - (from his site at www.smacdonald.com)

"The thing I love most about singing with Steve is the ENERGY he puts
into his music! He's a great person to have at a jam session. He is
such a silly, talented, huggable, fun person to know that when I
spend an
evening singing with Steve I always identify most strongly with his
song 'I Wish I Didn't Have to Go!'" - Mary Ellen Wessels

"I leave you with the following warning: If you encounter Steve
Macdonald, plug your ears, close your eyes, and back away quickly.
Don't listen to him, don't ask him about his project to rewrite the
entire rock opera "Tommy" into a Harry Potter piece. Don't buy any of
his tapes or CDs. It's too late for me (I even married a woman who
was already an addict),
but perhaps through its telling, it will save others from the
depravity of being a Steve fan. And for the sake of your soul, don't
sing along!
(Unless you want to, that is.)" - Dan Glasser
