Hello all--

Too busy to go travel to Crown Tourney this weekend? Then come to a pub
sing on Saturday! The general concept is music, beer, more music, and
anything else we can legally do to have fun in a pub. I'll make sure there
is a dash of Renaissance entertainment along with the Celtic stuff.

*Four* *hours* of professional performance and open mic time for only $5--
it's a great deal! Song books for the sing-a-longs will be provided. Feel
free to stop by any time and hang for awhile.

Also, my apologies for not replying yet to all of the folks who responded
to my comments last week. I have to run again, but I should be able to
catch up on my back-logged e-mail this weekend. I'll get back to you soon.

Pub Sing at Tommy Nevins' Pub
1450 Sherman Rd., Evanston
October 20th, 3pm-7pm

Would you like to get a taste of Chicago's rich Celtic community? Then   
come to the sing-along and Celtic jam session at Nevins' this weekend.
There will be a music jam session open to all (so bring instruments),   
professional performers, an open mic, sing-a-longs, a raffle, pub grub,
and a cash bar. The cover charge for all of this is only $5.

You'll not only have fun; you'll also be supporting the arts. Proceeds
will go to Revels Chicago, a non-profit performing arts group that
produces seasonal theatrical celebrations in various folk traditions.
Funds from the Pub Sing will help to offset the costs for the upcoming
production, "The Christmas Revels: A Celtic Celebration of the Winter
Solstice" to be held at Northwestern University December 7-9. For more
