[ba-filk-announce] Reminder: Decomposing Dog Filk next Saturday, March 10

Consonance (consonance.org) is of course this weekend, and the very  
next Saturday after that, just days after Consonance winds down with  
its big Dead Dog Filk, I'll be hosting a house filk.

Format:  Filk sing; probably chaos style, possibly some kind of  
modified bardic circle, or one of these days we may try something  
experimental, such as Index Card Preprogrammed Bardic.  Depends on  
how things seem to be flowing.

If you like, bring something to eat or drink.  Don't worry about it  
too much, though, since we usually have plenty of food and can order  
a pizza if necessary, and we usually wind up with far too many soft  
drinks left over.

* Spatiotemporal details:

Directions:  By car, take either 101 or 85 and get off on Moffett  
Blvd. heading southwest, toward downtown (i.e. away from Moffett  
Field).  From Caltrain or LRT, get off at the Mountain View station  
and walk 1.2km toward Moffett Field.  (Getting back late at night is  
another story.)  In the unlikely event that anyone is planning to get  
here under their own power (e.g., bike, foot, roller blade), Moffett  
Blvd. is the one street that the Stevens Creek Trail crosses at grade  
level; go south one block and turn left.  Despite the official  
address (500 W. Middlefield), the clubhouse is actually just off of  
Moffett Blvd.  Enter on the first driveway on Moffett that is north  
of the Middlefield cross-street (and south of where 85 passes over)  
and look for a raised glass structure just ahead of you and on your  
left.  (If you do enter from W. Middlefield, make two left turns.)   
If you're arriving by spaceship (or looking at the Google satellite  
image), it's the small tree-shaded popsicle-shaped building 29 meters  
northwest of the pool.

Parking: If arriving by car, park in any unnumbered space (the  
numbered spots are generally the covered ones.)  Willow Park now  
requests guests "to distribute the parking of their vehicles to the  
areas between buildings 9 and 10, behind building 4, and in front of  
building 26 to alleviate parking congestion in the area between the  
clubhouse and building 1".
