I just wanted to remind people of the implications of this: If
you've got multiple email addresses, or you've changed addresses and
incoming email to to the old one still reaches you but it's no longer
your From line, then your replies may disappear. I just talked to an
old friend at Baycon who that happened to. He thought he'd sent a
question about a house filk, but replies automatically get addressed
to the ba-filk list unless you override it, and his company had
changed names. Unlike some other services, this one doesn't bounce
unsuccessful messages, it just sort of absorbs them.
If you want to fix it to recognize your messages, here's an easy 11-
step process.
(Sorry, this is the best I can come up with, given how it's set up.)
1. Go to http://lists.filknet.org/cgi-bin/listargate.cgi
2. Type in your new address (leaving the password field blank).
3. Check your email and follow the link it sends you to login.
4. Click on the ba-filk-announce and/or ba-filk link.
5. Press the Subscribe button.
6. Wait until John approves your request and you're subscribed
under your new address.
Then, to avoid duplicate messages:
7. Go to back http://lists.filknet.org/cgi-bin/listargate.cgi
8. Type in your old address (leaving the password field blank).
9. Check your email and follow the link it sends you to login.
10. Click on the ba-filk-announce and/or ba-filk link.
11. Press the Unsubscribe button.
