We're looking forward to seeing all of you at Consonance! March 5-7, 2004 Crowne Plaza Silicon Valley 777 Bellew Drive, Milpitas A preliminary schedule of events is up on the web site! Go to http://www.consonance.org and click on "Events" or "Programming Grid". Hotel Reservations The hotel has graciously agreed to continue to accept reservations at the $79 convention rate, beyond the deadline. To get this rate, please call the hotel directly at 408-321-9500 during business hours and mention Consonance. Toria Needs Women (or Men) We are still looking for someone to play the part of Iola in the first performance ever of "Doctor Who and the Torians". Any gender and any voice range is OK. This is a small part; in fact, we could arrange for it to be a speaking-only, non-singing part if you prefer. As you probably know, "Doctor Who and the Torians" is a short two-act filk musical by Sara Bruce, with music from Gilbert and Sullivan. You will find the complete script at http://www.renegadechickens.com/wacky/Torians/Torians.pdf. You can read from a script in the performance, so all you have to do in advance is to read through the script and learn a few G&S melodies, some of which you may know already. We have MIDI files for the melodies. The rehearsal and the performance will be on Sunday. If you can help us out, please send me email promptly. Thanks, and see you soon at Consonance!
