I never received the welcome message when I joined the list. (If I had I
wouldn't have bothered you personally about changing my subscription
information.) I'm glad to have this information now. Also, guessing by Lauren's
reaction, she may never have received it on joining either. I don't know if you
have some automated system that's supposed to send the welcome letter whenever
you subscribe someone new, but if you do, I think it's broken and you might want
to look at it. Sending the welcome letter every couple months is a nice
additional feature (I know I don't retain information like that in my head for
very long), but if someone joins the day after the welcome letter goes out, then
there will be almost 2 months where they don't have the list subscriber info.
Just to let you know . . .
