Hi, everybody.

In light of some recent confusion, not just on Lauren's part, I'm going to
start periodically reposting the welcome message I send out to new
subscribers to the list. It's close enough to June 1 for me to set it up as
an automatic post every couple of months. I hope that won't be too often for
folks. This list is ordinarily very low traffic, but lately we've had some
discussion around the band's trip to CONduit (and I am all for that!), and
there will likely be more discussion as our CD nears completion (update on
that coming Sunday night or Monday).

Hi, Lauren-- the mailing list software doesn't tell me the exact date on
which you asked to be subscribed, but because of the people who are
subscribed around you, I'd say it was either at our February 16 Borders gig
or at the Harvest Cafe gig in Acworth on February 17 of this year.

Before I post that message, I'd just like to remind y'all that this is a
discussion list, not 'just' an announcement list. People are free to post to
the list, ask questions, engage in some chat. However, as with all lists and
newsgroups, I do prefer that one-line replies, "me-too" posts, and bits that
would be better directed to individual subscribers not be seen on the list
itself. The list is set up so that replies are automatically sent back to
the list. If you need to reply to an individual poster, choose the
'reply-to-all' option in your mailer and simply delete the mailing list from
the 'to:' field.
