[3WS-discuss] News, and what happened to the month of April

Well, hi!

In case you've forgotten you're on this list, here's a very belated update
from Three Weird Sisters!

April passed as a blur for all of us, with various conventions, new houses,
trips to all kinds of places. Lots and lots of *life* occurred during April.

As for what the band is up to, here are the pertinent details.

The big news: The CD is all but finished. We can taste it. We have heard
some of the not-quite-final mixes, and they are terrific. Some other people
have heard them as well, and the general consensus is that the CD will sound
great. Our recording engineer is something else. I cannot give an absolute
release date yet, because we do not know how long the production and
duplication process will take, but I anticipate you'll be able to hold the
finished product in your hands sometime in June or July.

The CD is called _Rite the First Time_. Thanks to everybody who helped us
choose the name.

Songs on the CD (not really in order):
Dumb, Dumb Dorothy
Rite of Passage
What'll I Do With the Baby-O?
On We Go
Boys Want Sex in the Morning
Pity Party
Little Boy Blue
Absolutely Bonkers
Six Days
When Fall Comes to New England
Bird Rock
Iowa
In a Gown Too Blue

Upcoming gigs:

The weekend of May 18-20 we'll be at CONduit in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the
musical Guests of Honor. Check out their webpage at
http://conduit.sfcon.org/CONduit/

May 25: Harvest Cafe, Acworth Georgia. I'll post directions and times in
another message.

June 2: Hungry Ear Coffeehouse, Atlanta. I'll post directions and times in
another message.

Weekend of July 4: Sci Fi Summer, a science fiction convention here in
Atlanta. We won't all be there for the entire con; I'll check my schedule
and get back to you on when the 3WS concert will be. Check out their web
page at HTTP://www.sci-fi-summer.com/ .

Our web page has been updated too!

Hugs,
Gwen

Vertigo is something other than the fear of falling. It is the voice
of the emptiness below us which tempts and lures us; it is the
                   desire to fall. --Milan Kundera
